Pleasant Hill Lake Park features fun, games over holiday

The lake is the place to be for the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Pleasant Hill Lake Park has plenty of fun and games planned for all members of the park to enjoy a visit to the lake. A full schedule of events is ready for the weekend from July 1 (Friday) through July 3 (Sunday).

Events get under way July 1 (Friday) with a Four-Square game for kids at 5:30 p.m., followed by Pokeno (poker bingo) for children and adults starting at 7 p.m.

The beach will be the site of excitement on July 2 (Saturday) with a full complement of activities – including sand castle contest, races in the sand, water balloon games and more – planned all afternoon beginning at 1 p.m. A volleyball game is set at 3 p.m., chalk drawing at 5 p.m. and the park’s Independence Day Dance will be held at 8 p.m.

On July 3 (Sunday), numerous events for children and adults – including a scavenger hunt, crafts and bingo – kick off at 11 a.m. and are scheduled through the evening.

Overnight camping is available and the park’s swimming beach will be open all weekend.
