The Independence Day holiday will be a real blast at Seneca Lake Park.
The park’s annual giant Fourth of July holiday fireworks show is scheduled for July 2 (Saturday) at dark.
But that’s not the only good reason to be at the park. Numerous other activities also are planned throughout the weekend at the park.
Events begin July 1 (Friday) with karaoke at the Marina Point campground shelter at 8 p.m. On July 2 (Saturday), a craft show is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Secrest Park rest area and kids’ crafts are set at 10:30 a.m. at the Marina Point shelter. The band Silverthorn will take the stage at the beach at 8 p.m., and the fireworks show will close out the night.
Several other activities and events, as well as the park’s amenities, also will be available during the holiday weekend.
Overnight camping also is available and the park’s swimming beach will be open all weekend.
