Santa Claus is coming to town.
And he may be bringing his swimming gear along.
The jolly old elf will be the star attraction when Seneca Lake Park hosts its annual “Christmas in July” celebration this Saturday (July 16).
Events are scheduled throughout the day and kick off with a kids’ pedal pull at the beach at 12:30 p.m. (sponsored by Lashley Tractor Sales). Also during the day, a lot decorating contest will be under way (sponsored by Cool Breeze Awning Co.), as well as a snowman-building contest (sponsored by A Taste of Ohio).
Santa arrives at the Marina Point campground at 2:30 p.m., and will visit the park’s Log Cabin Nature Center at 5 p.m.
The evening will conclude with a cookout and hayrides beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Log Cabin Nature Center (sponsored by Bobo’s Boat Shop).
Several other activities and events, as well as the park’s amenities, also will be available during the weekend.
Overnight camping also is available and the park’s swimming beach will be open all weekend.
